The S221 provides high efficiency associated with a deep and powerful bass foundation, making this 2×21" subwoofer deployable in large-format PA applications such as major live concerts — for example underneath large line arrays.
Smaller setups work surprisingly well too: standing upright at almost 1.7 m, the S221 doubles as a sub tower under a medium-sized PA top. The mid-low response is sufficient for this, and a top cabinet placed on the S221 radiates directly over the audience’s heads.
