Line array speakers for church

Speech first, in a room built to reverberate. A short line array aims energy at the pews and keeps it off stone, glass and a high ceiling — which is exactly where intelligibility is normally lost.

The room is the problem

A sanctuary is a reverberant box. Controlled vertical coverage puts the sermon on the congregation instead of the architecture, and that is worth more than any amount of EQ afterwards.

Compact enough to disappear

A short L10 hang reads as a slim black line beside a pillar. Church committees care what it looks like, and a hang of small modules hides better than a pair of large tops on stands.

When you do not need one

Not every church needs an array. Under roughly ten metres of throw a C-series point source usually wins on cost and on looks. Ask us before you buy either; we would rather sell you the right thing once.

Linear voicing: natural voices, no fatigue.
FAQ

Common questions

Do we need a line array in our church?

Only if the room is deep or high. A compact line array earns its cost in a long nave, a balcony or a hall with a hard ceiling. In a chapel or a wide, low room a point source is cleaner and cheaper.

How many modules for a nave of 30 metres?

Typically a short hang per side plus a delay position, but trim height and balcony geometry change the answer. Send us the floor plan and a section drawing and we model it before quoting.

Line array or column speaker for a church?

A column is the lighter, cheaper answer for speech in a modest room; an array covers depth and music that a column cannot. We are developing a column of our own — until it ships we will tell you honestly which of the two your room needs.

Can it be installed without visible cabling?

Yes. Installation is normally cabled through the structure to a rack in a technical room, with only the cabinets in sight. Your integrator handles the building; we specify the system.

What does a church line array cost?

It scales with the room, not the seat count. Send us the plan and we quote the system honestly: cabinets, amplification, processing and commissioning.

Plan your system with us

Send a floor plan or a rider and our engineers come back with a modelled design: cabinets, amplifiers, presets and coverage.
